One moment I laughed out loud. Seconds later there were tears in my eyes, and a lump in my throat. Then I was smiling again, and feeling wonderful all over. I sat the book down to reflect on what I read, and wiped my eyes again. I was not even through the first Chapter..... ....walt mauer

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It's not preachy or self-righteous. Rather, it simply comes off as honest, touching, and genuinely appealing to anyone whose mother has made a significant impact on their life. It's definately a step above the usual type of book that would fall under this heading, chicken soup and the like. It's not even close to being as smarmy or overbearing. It's simple, and that's the best thing this book has going for it. Give this book a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
