I was disappointed in the lack of interesting ideas for a different type of wedding. You can read it in a couple of hours and then you won't need to refer to it again. Maybe you'll get an idea or two. I would recommend just checking it out of a library rather than buying it.

I didn't really see how this differed from any of the other wedding books out there. I still felt as though I needed to have a lot of money/resources in order to have a fabulous day.The book doesn't really help you think outside the box.

I was so relieved to find this when my husband and I were planning our wedding. Almost all the books out there for wedding ideas are craft, frou frou, or really outdated. I didn't steal every idea from this book but it allowed me to really think about the things I wanted without having to follow every wedding 'tradition' out there and still have a nice relative friendly ceremony and reception. Thank god for people who think outside the box!
