This book sure has some pretty difficult words for babies, and one thing I didn't like - one of the poems mentions thiefs on the garden wall (I don't know why would you need to educate your little baby about thieves at this age?) Little peek-a-boo pieces of the book were easily ripped by my baby :) I would give 3 stars to this one, my baby still liked it when I read it for her.

I bought this book for my daughter when she was 11 months old. She immediately fell in love with it, and now that she is 15 months old it is still her favorite. She loves opening and closing the flaps and pointing to the different things. She did tear a couple of the flaps off at first. That's why this book may be better for older babies. Even though it is "flimsy" for a young child, I think that the poems and the flaps are really fun for a kid. My child never gets tired of this book! My only complaint is that some of the pictures don't really reflect what is in the poem. For instance, on one page it says "the birds still hopping on the tree" but the birds in the picture are in a cage, and the tree is covered with snow. There are a couple of other instances like that, but other than that this book is terrific!

My daughter is 15 months old and just received this book for Christmas. It is a LOT bigger than books like "Mirror Me" and "Babies" and such. She can see the characters and pictures much better and recognizes them! She also likes to open and close the flaps and see who's hiding. The rhymes keep her attention too. Overall, I am the most pleased with this Baby Einstein board book than others I have purchased, and so is my daughter!
