I love a good "sitting by the fire... chestnuts roasting...cocoa sipping" book and THIS is IT! Very relaxed and enjoyable find. HOWEVER, K.O. has a real eating disorder. At one point, she discovers she's gained 2 pounds so she immediately pulls out the treadmill, constantly brushes her teeth (to ward off hunger), and only eats dry toast and coffee for a day! Since I've personally suffered from an eating disorder years ago, I want to warn readers about K.O.'s behavior. GETTING OFF MY SOAP BOX: This was an excellent book!

This story is very nice, but don't buy this book if a slightly anorexic heroine would spoil it for you. I wish somebody had warned me. I read to escape from the pressures of real life (and mass media), not to find out (again!) that if you want to get the great guy you have to skip meals, spend your day on the treadmill, and brush your teeth six times a day to keep yourself from eating. K.O. is not healthy, and is not a good role model.

The book has just the right amount of suspense. Just enough to keep you from putting it down until you have read the entire book. GREAT READ!
