This short book has everything in it for those new to the Cub Scout's Pinewood Derby. The book walks the reader through the Pinewood Derby rules, designing and building the car (graph-paper included), a Pinewood Derby song (set to Camptown Races), and coaching hints for the parent. As a bonus, there are also sections on making Space Derby rockets and Sailboat (Raingutter) Regatta boats.This is a great book, containing everything that the scout will need. There is information on the use and placement of weights and lubricant, which is something every Scout *must* know. It's a wonder to me that this book is not automatically given to every Scout before his first Pinewood Derby! If your first Derby is coming up, then you *must* get this book!
