Farewell You Young Romantic is a collection of short stories and editorials where both collide nicely in a mix of fact, fiction, and something in between. It is written in a very conversational dialogue and feels more like a friend telling you about their day than peering in on some stranger's life. Some vignettes are poignant, some are amusing, but most of all they remain real and truly allow the reader to relate to that lazy summer hanging out with those people or that hot hot night in pursuit of something to do. Buy the book... you'll love it.

I got this book from a friend. She gave it to me saying there were some racy sex scenes in it. There are. But there is much more. Some stories are cute, others are caustic. At times i'm not quite sure what I think of it. But i liked it enough to take the time out to write this review. So I must have liked it more than the last book I read, which, since I can't even remember what it was off the top of my head, must not have been very memorable. There are memorable parts in this book. I keep going over the phrase -'if you're not a liberal at twenty-two you have no heart and if you're still a liberal at thirty five you have no brain.' In light of so many current political events, I found this phrase and the story which contained it to be enlightening. Yes, I definately recommend this book to any reader weary of the usual drivel. -Magnangela Davies

I have no idea who the author of this book is. My friend picked it up at the chk chk chk boat party and passed it on to me. She read it and loved it. I read it and loved it. It is funny, sad, intelligent, honest, sexy, wry and at times deadly serious. By far the best thing I've read all summer. -Andrew Varick, N.Y.C.
