I found this guide very helpful and in many cases it saved me loads of time and taught me a ton of things I never would have known had I not had the book. I completed the game 100% which never would have happend without this guide. My brother was playing the game at the same time and kept calling me asking for tips out of the book when he got stuck on missions. I'm glad I got the most out of this game and can't wait for gta 5.

This official strategy guide for Grand Theft Auto IV does a great job of walking players of any skill level through the massive world of Liberty City. The authors' love for the game shines through, and they do a great job dividing the 300-page book into logical sections, such as chapters from the game or specific side missions. Give yourself a while to learn where the different sections are; you'll have to do a lot of skipping back and forth. The only thing the guide does wrong is fail to give a summary of what is needed to earn %100 in the game, as well as give advice for accomplishing some of the tougher side challenges. In any case those of you who have tasted even a little of the majesty of Grand Theft Auto should know: the best way to play this game is to do the exploring yourself!
