Hero Of The Land Of Snow is a wonderfully presented retelling by Sylvia Gretchen of an ancient Tibetan epic about the hero Gesar, destined to be the King of Ling. Fine, soft-toned, full-page, art gallery quality color drawings by Julia Witwer fills this magnificent tale of a noble fighter aided by a beautiful lady and a loyal flying horse. An engaging Tibetan folktale, Hero Of The Land Of Snow is strongly recommended for any young reader with a taste for myths, folklore, and fairytales.

A beautiful book with colorful pictures and a captivating story of a Tibetan hero. The children thoroughly enjoyed it though dad thought it a little long for a childrens book. We've ejoyed all of the colorful books in the Dharma Publishing childrens series. These books teach the value of various virtures such as loyalty, compassion, friendship, etc., qualities the children love to hear about and which inspire them.
