I absolutely loved this planner- it asked you basic questions about what you wanted for your wedding, even the small things that I never considered and would have totally overlooked. It helped you create your own reception floor map, to your receiving line, to the order of your wedding party. It keeps track of all the check list items. It really helps you to envision the big day! I also had the Knot wedding planner but the books were so big I couldn't carry them around. This was perfectly slim, great for taking notes, and light enough to throw in my purse when I visited vendors. Now I buy this planner for all my other friends who are engaged. Would highly recommend!

This book is fantastic! It offers a very systematic, customizable methodology for planning a wedding that can be on-time, on-budget, and a reflection of you. While the first edition of the book was written for brides on a schedule (3-4 months to plan a wedding), this book is great for a bride on any timeframe, because it helps you identify your wedding priorities as a couple and then facilitates a priority-driven approach to planning your wedding. The result is a manageable approach to planning a wedding and suggestions on how to make your wedding unique. It has fantastic tools for sticking to your budget, slimming down costs, keeping yourself on task, and handling sticky wedding situations. It offers great suggestions on how to add style and flair to your wedding, without getting bogged down on specific details like the pros and cons of chair covers. So whether you are planning a simple ceremony on the beach or a 500 person party at the plaza this book will give you the tools you need to make your wedding planning efficient, effective, and dare-I-say, fun.

I came across this book in the bookstore and found it to be great even for those who aren't planning to wed in 6 months time. I have over a year to plan, but this book is wonderful! It has space to write down multiple venue options in order to compare them in one place. It has a place to start organizing the guest list and then an address section for the guests which includes whether you've received the RSVP, gifts, thank you notes and whether the guest has special needs (ie. food option for dinner). Also, the very front of the book is a place for all the contacts you will use on the wedding day once you have finalized your options throughout the book so it is convenient for the big day. I was very pleased to find this book. I've heard from several reviews that there isn't a book that does it all and I admit this is my second book (my other book is the everything wedding organizer), as it is specific to the wedding/reception and not to all the parties/events taking place before/after (ie. only one paragraph for the honeymoon and nothing for the showers beforehand), but for being wedding specific this small book has everything I need to make plans and finalize the wedding and reception.
