If you are looking for decent quality graphic images for use with computerized digital projects, steer clear of this book. The images are of very poor quality - whether in jpg or tiff format. The edges of the designs are very jagged and thus useless for quality graphic design. It appears the images were scanned in poor resolution then saved as larger images based on the poor resolution originals. There is no way these images were originally scanned at 600 dpi. They appear to have been scanned at 72 dpi, then enlarged to 600 dpi, warts (jagged edges) and all. I've purchazsed numerous Dover design books accompanied with a CD-ROM, and they are all the same poor quality, regardless of image format.

I found this book and CD-ROM very helpful in my search for applique designs with a Japanese flavour, using family crests in a quilt. The files are available in a high resolution, which is great when enlarging the designs.
