This is a beautifully photographed collection of the "diversity" that truly is the Palm Springs lifestyle. As a long-term resident, I can say that Palm Springs offers so much more than what has been so commonly and myopically portrayed. I was saddened by the reviewer who was actually disappointed that this was not another book on mid-century architecture. Architecture is, of course, honorably represented here but this book is about the people who actually inhabit it. Of the many related books on this topic, this is the one I bought multiple copies of to give as gifts. Thanks again, Rizzoli, for yet another stellar product.

Sadly this is no book for architects or people who are interested in the architecture of Palm Springs, especially not those who are interested in mid-century architecture!
