I have almost finished this book, and I have to say I am disappointed, as I read rave reviews about it and was expecting something more dynamic. While this book DOES have some time honored good, common sense principles, they are nothing new and at times (many times) the book is downright "schmaltzy", like being at a Girl Scout rally or Mary Kay meeting. WIth sayings like: "Believe in yourself", "Love yourself", WOW, that's a revelation! It's not that it's a terrible book, but just be prepared for the Pollyanna pep talks which we've heard a ZILLION times before. Knowing what I know now, I would probably not buy this book, but if I saw it in the library I might take it out.

This book is fantastic. It targets the salon industry, but is so good, it would motivate anyone in any profession. It is filled with practical information on attitude and appearance, sales savvy, and honestly, just a lot of practical information to put into practice. A very valuable quick read.
