Got this book in 2003 and it was opening a far deeper understanding of how color works in a digital image. I'm still working as a professional retoucher and searching the shelf what to recommend to the assistant to read for Photoshop basics it's this book (even with CS4). - if you look for a quick start guide stay away from this book it's written for people that spend many hours with the calibrated monitor - and yes some example on the Cdrom is not totally correct and repeatable with the example images bud I still give it five stars Have fun and make good color without guessing in the dark Ole

It's a very good book with advanced information for who really wants to understand digital treatment color in photoshop. But, one advice: if you don't know the basic about color correction, began by another book and a last comment: the images's quality is not in the same book's level.

This book is an excellent source for understanding color science and how to correct color using Adobe Photoshop. It includes easy-to-sue methods and tips I found very useful in everyday image correcting.
