This book is a mix of some of the more traditional, well known soccer drills/games and some more unusual one. The best part about this collection of exercises is that most of them are designed to be fun, so the kids will actually enjoy doing them. Other coaches will look at you strangely for some of the games in this book. That is, until they see how good your team is. I say that from experience. I incorporated the leapfrog exercise into our warm-ups, and people thought I was crazy, but the team was developing their strength and balance, and the kids loved it! If I could only pick one book of activities to use during practices, this would be my choice.

These game-style drills make soccer practices much more fun, and they help teach fundamentals at the same time. This book doesn't really get into strategies or position playing, but it is a good collection of drills that will keep all of your players busy and learning.
