I am so ashamed of myself for buying this book. Unless you know absolutely nothing about the music industry please don't waste your time. I could barely make it through this book without becoming enraged with Schwartz's elementary and more often than not obvious "advice". On a positive note this is a true "do it yourself" book. She essentially tells you to get out there and "do it yourself" providing nothing more useful than "you need to get out and make contacts", "you CAN do it yourself, I did", & my favorite "projecting success is the best way to achieve success". I will never buy another book without researching the author first. Google her name and take a glance at some the other swill she has produced. You're better off picking up a copy of "All Men Are Jerks Until Proven Otherwise". Seriously.

Solid book, but it's a bit lacking in the 'actual advice' realm. I find that in almost all 'how to start your own record label' books, no one wants to tell you exactly where to go to make your tasks happen. I would recommend this to those of you who have absolutely no idea where to start; if you have a background in music, at all, I'd pass it and move to Donald Passman.

Very interesting and easy to read book. Shipping time and price were great also. If the book had been in a little better condition, I would have given it 5 stars.
