I was not as pleased with this strawberry shortcake book as I was with the rest I purchased on amazon for the reason that I felt it wasnt written in story form strawberry visits friends from around the world and for each friend they have choppy paragraphs or lists /recipes etc. from that friend I wanted a book with smoother reading I guess it would be more appropriate for an older child who can read on their own and make the recipes written

You really can't go wrong with SS! All the books and movies are wholesome and entertaining. I love reading them to my daughter and watching the movies with her. Actually, my son loves them too but would never admit it to his friends (he's 9). Good thing he has a little sister ;)

My daughters love Strawberry Shortcake, and I like the lessons that these books teach. I am so glad that they are introducing new characters who live in far off lands. This book talks about Strawberry's friends from other countries and their cultures. Strawberry visits her friends and learns about things they do in their homes, languages they speak and the clothes they wear. I think that my girls would benefit from having a penpal from another country just like Strawberry. My daughters also liked the recipes.
