My son is enjoying this series. He is only 7, but enjoys these stories because they are brief. In my son's words, "I like them because they're about boys who led interesting, good lives."

My 9 yo son read this book and said it was sad because everybody dies. In small print this book says martyrs--I missed it. My 11 yo daughter also read the girl book (Didn't give in) and said the same thing. Caution if your child has not been exposed to any death/martyr issues. We will be getting the other books--very readable and a good overview of godly examples for kids.
