This book is almost great, but falls short on plot and character development. The plot is blostered by some pretty good action and good horror elements. But not a great read.

This book seemed awkward to me as the author simply describes the actions a player would be going through as they played the game. Cut scene dialogue is verbatim, some scenarios are expanded for plot purposes, and some new characters are introduced to fill out the straight-from-the-screenplay storyline. Perhaps the only somewhat interesting part is that you get to know what other characters are doing on Halo while you are completing missions.
