The content fits the title, "an idea book" but, be careful that this is what you want or need. This book is heavy on line drawing templates that you can use. I was looking for something that focused on technique. I prefer not to rob someone else's design.

I found this book to be good, but I was disappointed with the "Patterns" which consisted of little tiny depictions of the shape of the project. I bought the book specifically to get patterns and, while the book is very good, I was disappointed that the patterns we basically useless for someone new to mosaics.

After a few pages of "How To" basics, the remaining pages are mostly filled with small isolated images documented in clever "artsy" dialect. From the title: "Ideas," I expected to see large completed conceptions where I could examine the total effect of a whole composition, especially how the color, shape and size of the border influenced the overall result of an end product.
