Depspite the yuppy name, Dr. Agatston discusses heart health in a way that is detailed enough to provide value but you don't have to be a doctor to understand it. There's a lot of information about the various tests that can assess your heart health. It will cost thousands of dollars to get all of the tests done. You'd be better off leading a heart-healthy lifestyle.

Very educational and informative. It is a subject matter all Americans should know regardless of the intentions to follow the nutrition plan.

I'm a survivor of two heart attacks even tho I have very few risk factors for heart disease. Dr. Agatston is a clear, concise writer with the latest, well researched information on heart disease and how to minimize your risk. And it's not a pill! It's mainly lifestyle changes. I've made dramatic changes as a result of his book and see big differences in my lab reports as a result. From his book I've now gone on to reading primary research in cardiology and volunteering in a cardiology lab doing electronic support. The researchers I've met all consider Agatston to be a big asset in educating the public. Heart disease is almost entirely preventable. Had I but known when I was younger!
