My wife gave me this item as a gift this past weekend as a token acknowleging my appreciation of Sushi. This tiny box set includes a 32 page booklet, a small pair of chop sticks, a real ceramic Soy Sauce dish, and narrow sushi rolling mat. I found the booklet informative, though not very in-depth. After reading it, I was very motivated in finding other books on Sushi. Included in the book are lists and descriptions of ingredients and items used in making sushi. Also there are a few different recipes to get a person on the road to rolling.The chop sticks are very short, only about 3 inches long. They are more intended as a training pair for someone who has no experience using chopsticks.The rolling mat, while a medium quality mat, is very narrow. You won't be using this mat to make a 6 slice roll, that is for sure. I haven't yet used the mat, and I think I will hold out until I get a larger mat this weekend.My personal pleasure with this little box set was the Ceramic Soy Sauce Bowl that was included. For the price I was expecting a piece of plastic. I am pleased to say I was wrong.In closing, I wouldn't call this a Sushi Solution. It is more along the line of a gift item for when you realy want to get something different. There is enough info to get you going, but I found some of the information to be a bit vague.My plans now are to go and find a couple in depth books on sushi that include history, pictures, tecniques and recipes. Wish me luck.
