The title should have been 4th of July murder. This was a good installment in the series. I enjoyed reading about the rich and famous coming to Tinker's Cove. The conflict between Sue and Lucy was unexpected. I was surprised she suspected her best friend for a while. I do think Lucy should have pressed charges for the carjacking/kidnapping. She is too forgiving. All in all it was an intertaining few hours.

Sidra, the daughter of Lucy's best friend Sue, is planning to marry a millionaire. Sidra's parents do not want her to marry him. He appears to be a jerk, and they can't figure out why she wants to marry him. Meanwhile, her old boyfriend, who is a good person, is still in Tinker's Cove. This is a murder mystery, so a murder takes place. I won't say who, where, or why, because I don't want to ruin it. After the mystery was solved, there was a very nice surprise at the end, in which I was very pleased, but I won't say what it was, so as to not ruin it. This was actually a pretty good book. I was bouncing between giving it 3 stars or 4 stars, and because of my reasonings, I settled on the 3 stars. It had potential for being a 5-star review, but there were 2 things that kept me from giving it 5 stars: 1- the boring "lobster business" which I could care less about, and I felt it was elaborated a bit too much and 2- Elizabeth. I absolutely despise Elizabeth. I can tolerate the boring lobster business more than I can tolerate Elizabeth. If it weren't for Elizabeth, I would have given the book 4 stars. Elizabeth doesn't deserve a job or the opportunity to go to college. She doesn't even deserve a mother as nice as Lucy.

I loved the end of the book - it had a nice little surprise - a trip down memory lane to Lucy's own wedding.
