Great for boys (and girls). Fun to read, easy for kids to remember, good illustrations. Young children (toddlers) enjoy the "sounds" their parents make, older children enjoy reading this one to younger siblings. Clever.

We've been reading this book since my son was nearly a year old, and one of his first words was "again?" as he would hand it to me after I'd read it the first time. He loves the sing-song sway of the words, and I use hand motions of "over, under, and through" every time to show him what those words mean. When we get to the bear, he now points to his nose, ears, and eyes. He loves this book, and it's fun - even if you read it twice in a row. (His attention generally wanders the second time through, so we'll skip straight to the cave and bear.)

This is an interactive story about a family hiking to find a bear. It details all of the obstacles that they encounter before quickly realizing that being home isn't so bad after all. My 11 mo old enjoys the funny sound effects and actions. Very fun and interactive book.
