When Duty Calls is well written, and very insightful. It is a useful tool for helping those that are going through similar situations especially with what is going on in the world today. Many families are seperated due to war and conflict, and this book is an excellent look at how to keep it together.

When i retired after 30 years working as a civilian employee for the United States Army, I realized I had lost something, I had lost a family. Not just the Faith DeVeaux family of "When Duty Calls" but the real family of the Army. Ms DeVeaux has brought those 30 years of working with, knowing and loving Army families alive for me again. If you had a connection with any Army "family" in the past, you must read this heartwarming book. If you have had no connection with the Army family you will enjoy this delightfully fresh new author. "When Duty Calls" is a must for any reader.

My grandaughter who wrote this wonderful book about her father, who is my son in law,has given love and confidence to our whole family. These letters have inspired others to increase understanding within their families, giving them hope during a time of crisis.Through the letters the description of the Vietnam War, the feelings of the soldiers, and the hardships they faced were brought out. This made the whole family realize that they each had a part to play to keep the family together.
