Don't get this item. It has out of date information on it. For example, it states that the cumulative effect of changes in accounting principle is used to calculate net income. This is old information and they don't use that to calculate net income anymore. Since finding good reliable information as obscure as this is difficult, I suggest any current CPA candidates to instead buy the newest(Third) edition with the blue/green cover. Also, these audios are only a supplement to the rest of your CPA studies. You should also get study software, study books, and/or enroll in a review course.

These CD's were a very good addition to my existing study program, which included text material, and both text Q&A and software Q&A. I probably wouldn't have passed without them. I loaded them on my ipod for use during exercise, played them in the car when commuting to and from work each day, and played them on my computer at work. Beware though, there are some misstatements/mispronunciations, some topics are skipped, and some topics are difficult to learn via audio (ie equations). No need to buy the newer version to release in OCT 2008 - it's just more money. Buy used and save even more if you can. Don't use this as your only study material.

The material covered was very helpful, but the sound quailty of the CD's was horrible. I had to turn up my radio all the way to hear the last two CD's and the back ground noise was distracting.
