This book is more than a sentimental journey. As Rapelyea discloses her years of pain and hitting bottom emotionally, she reveals a despair that is deeply self-destructive. For some reason, she did not want to be in this world. However, a turning point came, accompanied by an inexplicable experience that saved her from doom and set her on a true spiritual journey. Once on the spiritual path, healing became available to her and her anger was transmuted into gratitude. It becomes obvious through the pages of WINGS OF THE DOVE that her journey included many years of study. The metaphysical education she accrued over the years is most apparent in her chapter, THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE WHEELS AND CYCLES OF LIFE, which spells out the fundamentals of the distinct process through which a soul must pass from birth to death to rebirth, including the between-life states of being. In merely one chapter, she has distilled the teachings of many great works to offer a cohesive scheme of the functioning of reincarnation and the workings of the soul. It is quite an achievement. Rapelyea was not only healed of self-abusive patterns, she went on to become a spiritual master and an educated counselor. As only one who has walked the path can truly know both sides, I am sure Rapelyea is adept at leading others out of the darkness and into the light. I highly recommend this book and thank the author for writing it.
