"¡Qué sabroso es el pan con queso cuando lon dan en un rancho, pero más sabroso es un beso debajo de un sombrero ancho!" ("Tasty are bread and cheese on the farm, but even tastier is a kiss beneath a broad-brimmed hat!") This amusing little volume collects an assortment of Mexican phrases on the topics of life, love, and women - clearly, from a man's point of view. Some are cute, a few offer wisdom, and many (like the one above) simply baffle anyone not of the culture. Paintings, in the style of the one on the cover, appear throughout to illustrate a few favored sayings. It's a cute book, but probably won't hold a special place in anyone's library. If you'll pardon th metaphor, it would make a great stocking-stuffer for Valentine's Day. -- wiredweird
